The works include structural strengthening, concrete repairs, temporary works, traffic management, and all activities required to improve the long-term performance and resilience of the bridges on an important transport link. Council's objectives are to:  Deliver the strengthening works safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.  Improve bridge capacity to support current and future transport demands.  Extend the service life of the two structures.  Achieve value for money through the appointment of a suitably experienced contractor.
